The end of Summer is upon us and Spirl's newest combination of Le Grand nectarines from Masumoto Family Farm and toasted peach leaves, results in a richer, nuttier nectarine jam. The most summery of nectarines, the Le Grand is enormous and meaty and dense as well as a clingstone, which means its flesh clings to the pit, i.e. it’s harder to can, but too extraordinary in flavor and juicy in texture to not make into a jam.
Now an internationally recognized breakfast + lunch restaurant in Virgil Village, Los Angeles, Sqirl started as a tiny jam company and everything since then has radiated from our jam-making genesis. Sqirl jam has become much more than capturing in-season, of-the-moment fruit. It has always connected us to the seasons, to the farmers, and now, more than a decade later, it's a holistic part of everything we do every day.
